A GARDEN FOR BIRDS

We started with a blank slate for this project - a steep slope that was challenging to mow and which offered no privacy from the street. The goals were to create a naturalistic garden with as many native plants for birds and pollinators as possible, provide four-season color, and use deer-resistant plants.

Blooming shrubs and perennials provide bright color and texture from spring through fall, while evergreens, ornamental grasses and shrubs with berries carry this garden right through the winter.
